I deleted userdata folder and activated alladdons again. Now everything is working again, so no error in the 250!!

Ok tried the 249 it fixed the bootloop boogy ! Just updated to 250 after watching live TV on HDhomerun for about 15 minutes it froze when hitting the back key to change channels https://paste.osmc.tv/jiheyemumo

I just installed the latest test build (17.8.251) on a test-pi3 like explained in the first post.

pvr-tvheadend works, but i can’t install any games addon. (Nothing available to install, except for controller profiles and rom collection browser). I am primarily interested in the scummvm addon.

Sorry if i am missing the obvious. (Do i need to install a repository? Which one? I did this install a few weeks ago, and i don’t remember something like this.)

You need to go into addons and enable the relevant addon.

Stupid me. When will i understand that menu structure? Entering Addons is not the same as the submenues when i just navigate to addons. It’s not the first time i struggled with that. (using Kodi for years, but not much addons. )

Enable the ones you might wanna use, but there are a few that sadface right now.

I would be happy if i am able to start a single one, i receive the sad face on all of them. Although i am just interested in ScummVM, i would love to see a single emulator UI, just to be sure i am not missing something in general.

All of them mark the dependency game.libretro as “unavailable”.

There is no emulator UI, Kodi is the UI.

Add a source under Games, to your rom folder. Then navigate to your desired rom and just click enter. I got a sadface when trying to start scummvm without a rom calling it. But when I do it with a scummvm file it just won’t start. Probably user error.

The ones I got started is:

mGba, quickness, Sega master/Genesis.

I played a bit with some libreelec/retroarch stuff before i switched to osmc. This gave me the simple scummvm frontend to select or add a game, so i thought this would be the same here.

Used a scummvm file and a locally copied game (usually on a nfs share), but this didn’t help either.

Might be that scummvm isn’t really working, like many other emulators. Trying DosBox today to see if i can get some games running.

edit: Tried dosbox but sadfaceing, might be user error since it needs a dosbox.conf which i just copied from my windows box, can’t find an linux example of dosbox.conf

Guys I’m getting some errors when starting up and shutting down, its a problem with ‘usbmount@dev-sdx’ services failing to start.
I’m guessing this is relating to the automounting of usb drives.

I boot OSMC from a USB drive, for which I’ve entered the UUID in /boot/cmdline.txt.
I also mount two large storage drives via /etc/fstab, which i share via nfs.

Not sure if this is the correct way to mount and use these drives so please advise the correct way if not, I’ve had no problems using these methods in the past so I’m not sure if something new has been implemented in the nightlies as I’ve never seen these errors before now.

I should point out that everything boots up fine, and both storage drives are correctly mounted where they should be, but I’m slightly concerned as I’ve never seen these red errors before when booting and shutting down.
