Okay, I checked out Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-CM4.mkv on my LG C8 and it looks proper.
I plugged the Ugoos into one HDMI and the Vero V into another HDMI, made sure all the settings were the same, and toggled back and forth between them.
They look essentially identical while staring at his face.
Looking off to the sides in darker areas I want to say the Ugoos is a tad brighter but the face looks identical.
I tried to watch the clip in HDR only mode by disabling DV in the Vero V settings but it still triggers DV on my TV either way so I was unable to see what it would look like with just HDR10 base layer.
But that my be expected behavior since your file is DV Profile 8.

I do not enable any settings like “super resolution”, various remove noise options, etc.
Everything is set to off or low.
And this is with the DV Cinema Home preset.
