Lots of Linux background, I actually use Kodi in a professional capacity - I have it playing commercials and other videos the recording studio I work for made on our lobby/hall TV's.

My main at home Kodi system is on a first gen Intel Mac Pro model 1,1 running Linux. The Apple TV running OSMC is for the bedroom system.

I'm actually NOT an Apple fan, but I do like Mac Pros since they're high-quality server class hardware that's readily available used and the Apple TV sort of fell in my lap.
