Hi,
I previously replied to another thread mentioning this issue but it’s persisting so hoping someone can spot something I’ve missed.
The only time I had this issue previously was when using a 2.4G wifi network, I’ve had no such issues running a 5Ghz network before this update.
The issue is that 1080p video stutters, it starts OK for a few seconds but then stutters as if the network connection has slowed right down. I’ve done an iperf test and all seems fine for a 5Ghz network (posted below), server is running Win 10 Pro, even did the checks with the Eset firewall turned off. No issues or errors thrown on the PC side, it’s running Hanewin NFS server and I’ve been using this for years.
Logs are here https://paste.osmc.tv/kaxocuraxe and I can see the sync drifting out after playback starts. I did the reboot twice. I’ve watched the CPU and nothing is being taxed there since acceleration is turned on.
Previous to the update there were no issues. 480p/576p video plays just fine. All my video is direct rips from my own collection.

Any thoughts? For info my second Vero 4K+ does exactly the same. I need to find a long enough network cable to see if anything funky is happening over wifi although iperf says not.

Probably an aside but I noticed the seek bar is at the top when playing 480p content?
I’m sure one of the OSMC guys will be along to help you shortly. In the meantime I suggest you post MediaInfo for one of the files that is having problems. You could perhaps also try playing it from the Vero’s flash storage, or from a USB stick or memory card - if it plays smoothly from there, that suggests a network problem; if it doesn’t, then maybe a decoding problem - either way it will narrow things down a bit.

Does the issue go away if you play the file from local storage, i.e. a hard drive?

Sorry for the delay. I assume the network will be the issue but have just ordered a memory stick to check as I have none to check with.
So this turns out to be nothing to do with Kodi, the Vero or my network. Turns out it was Windows. No idea whether it’s Eset, Windows itself or something else but an update must’ve happened at the same time.
I was in the process of moving my fileserver to linux anyways, now that’s done, files are shared via NFS but finally sorted AutoFS and the same files play with any problems
