Hi Everyone,
I want to play 3D MVC BD ISO’'s, on my Vero4K+. (I just bought it, and expecting it soon for shipment)
I found this older thread : https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/testing-linux-4-9-kernel-and-improved-video-stack-for-vero-4k-4k/84874
It seems like I have to downgrade to kernel 4.9 and Mediacenter 18.6 ?
Since that topic is closed, and I got some questions regarding this, I hope they can be answered in this thread.
It’s unclear to me how to downgrade, or which exact kernel/mediacenter/firmware files I need.
I hope somebody here can help me out ?
Thanks
Regards,
Do you mean Vero V? We have not sold Vero 4K + for a while.
If so, you don’t need to do anything, it will work out of the box.
Hi sam,
Thanks for your reply.
No I mean the older Vero4K+, I’ve bought it for a very good price, since it’s the older model.
Anyhow, you mean that even on the latest firmware version for the older 4K+ model, 3D MVC Framepacked BD ISO’s will play and work ?
Or is Kernel 4.9 and Mediacenter 18.6 already the last version for the 4K+ ?
I thought I had to downgrade the software/firmware first for this.. ?
I hope the 4K+ can also decoding lossless audio codec’s to multichannel PCM, while playing a 3d bd iso in MVC Framepacked mode ?
Just install the latest software from Download - OSMC.
Support for Vero 4K + has been discontinued for some time, but you can still get the latest version of Kodi (21.x) at time of writing
Sam
Hi,
Thanks, so the latest software release for the 4K/4K+ 2025.03-1 will also work with 3D MVC ISO’s ?
And I presume this one is recommended ?
