A2DP Bluetooth issues

Hello,

Since i upgrade to kodi 18, my mobile phone cannot connect the rasp with bluetooth. I was using A2DP to stream audio.

Note : my bluetooth keyboard is working well with kodi 18.

I doubt this is realted to v18. Have you upgraded to the latest staging version because only there a2dp is fixed.

I have make an apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade. Nothing change.

I removed my phone from paired device and the rasp from paired device of my phone and I enabled “start/stop Discovery”, the rasp found my phone.
I try paired with pin and without pin. OSMC says : “Connection to “myphone” failed”.

If I try with pin, the error message is displayed but my phone appear in the paired devices list. When I restart the bluetooth of my phone, the small “B” logo at the left of my phone name is red and become blue and after few seconds it becomes red again and the connection is obviously lost.

Share APT logs grab-logs -a so we can see if you are on staging version

Ok, I moved your posts to a new thread as it is not related to v18.

As I assumed your are not on the staging branch. So you either can wait a couple of days till the next stable release with the a2dp fix is released or try staging branch as explained below.

  1. Login via the command line
  2. Edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list
  3. Add the following line: deb http://apt.osmc.tv stretch-devel main
  4. Run the following commands to update: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && reboot
  5. Your system should have have received the update.

Please see if the issue is resolved.

I also recommend you edit /etc/apt/sources.list again and remove the line that you added after updating. This will return you to the normal update channel.

Than you, for the help. I will try your solution soon as possible and tell you back the result.

I come home, turn on the TV without doing anything in command line ( I haven’t add the new deb line). OSMC update was available, I accept to do it and after that, everything work with A2DP and bluetooth.

I suppose that the new stable update have fix the issue.

Thanks anyway , users need some people like you !
