AAC and Menu sounds not working with HifiBerry

I’ve noticed that for about a month now (probably the Jarvis update), I haven’t had any AAC sound support nor any menu sounds. Dolby and DTS works fine, which I’ve enabled as passthrough. I’m running all this through HifiBerry Digi+.

Nothing odd comes up in the logs but I can post them. What else would be useful?

Starting Kodi (16.0). Platform: Linux ARM (Thumb) 32-bit

I see this when watching AAC 2.0 content:

You may have checked this, but there is a setting to disable the menu sounds in the SYSTEM->SETTING->AUDIO menu. Did this get changed by chance to ‘NEVER’? If still an issue, try turning off audio pass through to see if they come back.

I use a HiFiBerry Digi with the April release and have no issues with the menu sounds but have issue with DTS passthrough audio in movies.
