That is a good catch. I guess that would keep a bluray player and many streaming sticks from working when plugged in directly to the display.
Could you import a TV from say the US as the tuner wouldnt be compatible and therefore should be exempt?
Well, ideally you want at least 1000nits. I doubt any monitor exists that goes anywhere near that high, though. (That’s roughly how bright a modern OLED TV can do; things like Samsung’s QLED go a bit brighter).
That is not an option. Only the “word” tuner would trigger the “redevance” to be paid.
I’ll check these out. But I net they don’t do screens
Look at the BRAVIA 4K Professional-Displays they are without a Tuner build it (the rest is like a normal TV).
