On initial setup program won’t load on usb stick. Any suggestions. Please keep in mind I’m so very new to this.
You need to write to an sd card from the installer then insert the sd and usb stick into the Pi and boot. The Pi requires an sd card to boot
I did that exact step. It just shows the usb as a separate file location and didn’t write anything to it.
Did you write the install to the SD card, but choose USB in the installer?
Because that is the way you are supposed to do it.
No I didn’t I chose the sd card installation. I’ll try that thanks.
So now that the micro ad card is write protected it’s giving me an error. How do I unlock it to format and start over?
Normally if an SD card is write protected it’s done with the physical slider on the card on one side.
