In the past I have attempted to install Prime Video and Netflix. With both failing I was wondering has anyone been able to get these two installed and running?

Yes, people have gotten them installed. Without knowing how they are failing for you, that’s about all I can say. OK, that, and I will say that these addons often move from a state of working to not working and back as Amazon and Netflix change things. They are not official addons from Amazon or Netflix, so people are reverse engineering things to get the addons to work, and then doing it again when things break. And often they’re restricted to software decoding of the videos, so your stuck at 1080p for video and often less than idea audio.
Honestly, I just bought an AppleTV and use that for my streaming stuff. I get the best quality streams, and I never wonder from day to day if it will work. I have a bunch of home grown scripts that allow me to have the stuff from the streaming services listed in Kodi, but when I click on them my home automation system switches over to the AppleTV. It’s work to maintain, but less frustrating than hoping each day that the Prime or Netflix addon is working so that I can watch something.
Got you and that is what I have experienced. For some amount of time it works and then it does not for a sum of time and then it works again. It vacillates enough that it is annoy to come home to it not working when you expected it to. It is great that those developers do such a great job getting these ad-dons to keep working even after those shenanigans. They do a great and for that I thank them all.
I’ve had the Netflix addon installed. Worked like a charm for several years, until a few weeks ago.
Seems like Netflix changed “something”, which requires new Kodi versions.
Haven’t updated OSMC to the latest version yet. Maybe the included updated Kodi brings it back to life, but talk on the internet suggests that Kodi 22 (not yet released) is required.
