I confess I haven’t gotten around to swapping the units yet. As anoth potential datapoint however, I was trying to watch Godzilla Minus One yesterday, which relies heavilly on subtitles as watching with Japanese audio. I say watching, but it was pretty much unwatchable with the freeze averaging about 2 a minute.
Update: swapped the two units and they both seemed to run fine for a couple of months, however the iffy one has started to glitch again.
I believe I’ve now eliminated everything else, and all that’s left is the hardware of this particular unit. Can I get it exchanged please?

Did you also swap out the PSU of the units or just the device itself?
I’d already swapped PSU on the problem unit, then swapped the PSUs over again between the devices when I swapped them over. No difference.
Apologies for the long delay (I did reply to your earlier email Sam). I’ve now performed another complete reset and restored the settings from the working unit - no change, still occasional freezes on h265 material. I can’t see how it can be anything other than hardware on this particular unit so i’d like to return it under warranty for replacement.
