As a Vero V buyer I would very much like to see some of the revenue of the purchases of the hardware go to some of the very important and somewhat neglected apps that exist within the kodi ecosystem namely the Youtube app which seems to be currently run through independent work but helps to make this project viable.
I feel that some of these independent apps for streaming services are really part of the backbone of this project, perhaps you guys contribute to Kodi but if some of the important streaming services that run off of Kodi aren’t given the same kind of polishing it really doesnt matter how well polished kodi is.
Down the line it ends up affecting your bottom dollar because the Vero’s viability as an alternative to traditional platforms is increased the more these apps are bug tested and given support.
Thanks
Thanks for your post
I am a member of Team Kodi.
@anxdpanic is also a member of Team Kodi and also an OSMC developer. We will always provide him with any hardware and support that he needs.
He is also the developer and maintainer of the YouTube add-on. I know that he is doing everything that he can. Unfortunately Google have made things painful, for example requiring API keys to use YouTube properly.
It would be good if you could clarify the issues you are experiencing and where you would like to see ‘polishing’
Cheers
Sam
The main thing is the speed that it loads the initial page and subsequent pages. I takes exceedingly long sometimes compared to other similar plugins like the hulu, disney plus, netflix ect. Also It seems that I get playback freezing but especially so around shorts that sometimes dont play at all. When it comes to page loading especially on startup Im curious if too much is being called or if api is just that slow or what.
I just notice a of playback freezing and issues with youtube in comparison to the other apps described.
If the video is freezing I would suggest posting some logs.
