Did somebody tried to connect V4K to the new Apple Display?

Connecting with Club3d CAC-1331 HDMI to DisplayPort plus Amazon Basics Bidirectional USB-C to Display Port.

Result:

  • for a second or two nice osmc blue screen with the logo in the middle
  • than double image, looks like stereoscopic, very large no menus visible on screen.

If I remove cabling and, without rebooting V4k, direct connect to a HP monitor with a hdmi cable, everything looks okay.

Any idea how to solve?

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
