Apple TV Remote for OSMC and Apple TV

Hi All-

I am running OSMC on a RaspberryPi connected to my TV and I’m using the Apple TV remote. I also have an Apple TV connected to my TV. My problem is when I’m in OSMC clicking buttons, those buttons are also being clicked inside the Apple TV and vice versa. After I’m done watching a tv show in Kodi, I’ll click over and realize I’m playing some random movie trailer on the Apple TV or I’ve accidentally removed my network settings from the buttons I was pressing.

I’m sure it’s something I’m missing or don’t understand. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

On your Apple TV, you should pair your remote with the aTV. Than only that remote will work with it. The blue light on the aTV will still blink if you use the remote for the Pi, but nothing will happen.
