ArgusTV recordings won't play

TV Recordings won’t play since the Kodi 18 update - everything was fine before. Just gives a sad face then restarts the PVR manager.
The files play correctly through the video menu, just not via TV menu.
No problem via Kodi on Win10, everything else on the Vero seems fine.

No one got any ideas?

Resurrecting this as it still doesn’t work.

Does no one have a functioning Vero/ArgusTV or is it just me?


  1. this PVR client is a non-offical kodi addon; nevertheless there is a kodi forum for this at Kodi Community Forum - Argus TV where member ksooo seems to try to keep this working as long as possible.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
