The atmos track on POTC Dead Men Tell No Tales and some other films have sound drop outs with the Vero - I think it may be a Kodi issue according to this:

The Realtek chip doesn’t have these dropouts. Is this something that can be looked at?

The audio dropouts may be to do with the bitrate of the atmos track - the Vero has problems with the POTC dead men tell no tales atmos track due to the bitrate and had several audio dropouts.

There are some playback improvements for 4K HEVC content which should hopefully fix issues where the decoder would get stuck. An example of this is John Wick 2, where there is a very specific freeze.
The issue should now be fixed, but we need to get some testing to ensure that other HEVC content also behaves as expected.
