ATV HDD Install Stuck

Hi Sam,

I have the following observed during installation.

new fresh installation with the Image OSMC_TGT_appletv_20160130-HDD.img.gz

Unlike a fresh installation with the Image OSMC_TGT_appletv_20160118-HDD.img.gz comes here not prompt to remove the USB stick and the power cord and restart without USB stick.

Where after the installation is performed on the hard disk by following.

In the case with the image OSMC_TGT_appletv_20160130-HDD.img.gz he starts the installation directly on the USB stick and not on the hard disk.

I think that’s the problem, you can ask the inspected and repaired.

I have the same issue withe the Apple TV install. I downloaded the newest installer from osmc.tv, and noticed that I could only select the install option “on an SD card”. I could not select the other options. This was the case on my last install also, just went on and all seemed fine.

Now I am stuck at this screen:

Right guys correct me if you think I’m wrong, Firstly what happens when you insert your Flash Drive, it says “Formatting Device”, then it goes on to say “Installing Files”, now the ones like myself see the box stuck on the words “Installing Files”, after waiting about ten minutes we take out the Flash Drive and reboot the box, to find the previous Good HD Install still on the box, Good you all say, but wait a minute guys, remember the first think you read, yes,** “Formatting Device”** so will you all agree with me that there lies the problem, the format is not working, because if it was the install files would work, and also we would have lost all our previous HD installs, but the fact that my old install still works proves it.** “THE FORMATTING DEVICE”** command does not work.

I’m not sure about your time offset, so can’t tell when that log was taken, but can you try again?

http://mirrorservice.org/sites/edge.samnazarko.co.uk/osmc/download/installers/versions_appletv

looks good to me.

Can you also confirm whether the HDD installer (when the correct version was downloaded) worked for you?

Tried it again now, and now it gets the hdd build when selected.

Have not tried installing with the latest hdd build today. Last night when tried, it would halt at the full installing files bar.
