Audio and video stuttering

I have a big problem on my Vero2: almost any video file has audio stuttering, not always at the start, but sometimes after a few minutes of playing.
And when the audio starts to stutter, after a while the video starts to “jump”, as it “run after” the audio…
I have a wired connection to the router and my files are stored in a Openmediavault server.
This is my log:

There are a lot of:
WARNING: ActiveAE - large audio sync error
I don’t know if it’s related.
Someone can help me?
Thanks

In your player settings turn off sync playback to display and retest.

I would also suggest to change your audio configuration to 7.1 channels, changed to expert view, and enable the other passthrough options available as your system is reporting they are supported.

I turned off sync playback and now the audio is perfect, but the video is worse than before, now it’s “jerky”, choppy, it’s not fluid… :slightly_frowning_face:

I changed audio to 7.1, but the only passthrough options I have are AC3 and DTS and they are already turned on.
edit: I noticed now that the number of audio channels only applies to non-passthrough mode.

Thank you very much for your support :slightly_smiling_face:

Can you also change the adjust refresh rate value from the current value of ‘always’ to ‘on start/stop’.

If that does not fix the issue can you copy the file to a USB connected drive to isolate away a network issue?

There is a option that changes how much of the settings are exposed. In the skin you are using you will see it in the bottom left of the settings screens. You must change this to be able to see the extra options.

It’s strange, after 2 hours I re-tried with no changes in settings and the video seems good.
All I did is turning off sync playback.
If I set 7.1 audio with passthrough, videos with audio stereo don’t work, so I set 2.0 and all is ok, don’t now why…
Thanks mate! :hugs:

That’s odd that stereo stopped working. Your AVR is showing support for everything the Vero can output…

That sync playback to display option AFAIK is only useful when using a fixed refresh rate monitor and for other applications it is likely to cause problems.

Can you upload some new logs?

Sam
