Which skin are you using? It will be different and potentially not possible in different skins.

I didn’t want to open a new topic for this: where can I disable this in the OSMC skin? When enabled, it brings the temperature up to 80°C while idle, opposed to about 60°C in the main menu without any scrolling going on.

The device should be fine at 80°C. There’s no simple way to do this.
