Backups - what am I missing?

I haven’t used the backup function in My OSMC before, and I’m clearly missing something very basic! I’ve got “Location entry method” set to “Browsed”, and under “Click to Browse” I’ve selected a folder (one on a remote machine, mounted with autofs). I’ve selected all the things I want to back up. If I then go into “Manual Controls” and choose “Run Backup of settings now”, I get an error message saying “Location for backup not provided. Set the backup folder in MyOSMC.”

Where else do I need to set the folder?

Try restarting Kodi (Power->Exit) then doing the backup.

It would definitely not have occurred to me to try that. :laughing: But yes, that’s working now.

You shouldn’t have had to. It’s a bug that’ll get fixed.

Just bumping this topic because it caught me today so I’m guessing it hasn’t been fixed

I noticed today that on one of my Vero Vs (running August release) i changed the backup setting for the number of backups to keep and the new setting didn’t take until I rebooted the Vero V. It kept reverting to the old value until the reboot.
