Which is the best storage unit to be used mainly for downloading (I was thinking about 8 to 16 GB max)? USB pen drive or SD card? If USB, which one?

NAS is always preferable then local storage

Sandisk makes good usb drives
You could look at picking up a portable hard drive for a reasonable price.
Best is hard to clarify though, because everyone’s storage needs will be different.
The WD Pi drive works for most devices dunno if vero 2 has micro usb however
