Best way to use Amazon Prime and Netflix

Hello,

I would like to use the Netflix and Amazon Prime Video services on my VERO V.
What is the best way to use these streaming services in OSMC on the Vero V?
Which addons should I use? Are there any general problems?

Many thanks for your help

Dave

There’s only one semi-official add-on for both services

Hi Sam,

Are there any instructions for this or experience of how well it works?
Do you have a link or a description of how to install this addon?

They are two separate add-ons. They are not officially supported and have limited resolution. You should be able to find more information with a forum search, but let me know if you need further pointers

The kodi forums for those (unofficial) addons are

Amazon limits the streams to SD quality, and Netflix apparently has now gone that route as well (Netflix was pretty good with the addon a couple years ago). So your experience will likely suck, and you are better off getting a roku stick (or using your TV build-in app) for those now.

Your advice isn’t wrong.

With Widevine L1 we should be able to access higher quality streams. All Vero V devices are certified.

We do not however have Netflix or Amazon Prime Video certificates which means that for certain titles and the higher resolutions (4K), we will still be limited. It’s still useful for other platforms like Sky Go though; as well as industrial customers.

Cheers

Sam
