Black screen issue (paused video) after upgrading to 19.1

Hello there,

After upgrade to Matrix 19.1 - I have a problem when pausing a video.
If the screen saver kicks in (black screen) - the picture doesn’t come back when I resume the video.

I can hear sound - but there is no picture.
No matter what I do - rewind a bit - pause again - forward - no dice.
Still black screen.

I reboot using Yatse on Android - to get video output back.

Never had this issue before.
I know I could just disable the screen saver - but I would like to keep it the way it is.

Thoughts anyone?

Debug enabled logs would normally be my first thought

Will enable logging and try to reproduce the issue.
So far it hasn’t kicked in - so a bit random maybe…
But experienced it several times since update to 19.1

Thx for your feedback @Ross64 - at least I’m not the only one.
I have desperately tried to reproduce the issue - but of course with out luck.

I have two Vero 4K+ units and have seen the issue on both setups (two rooms - hooked up to separate TVs).

@fzinken - as it is very random - it’s troublesome for me to gather logs. The next time I have the issue - will there be any valuable information in the logs (without debugging enabled)?
I could then grab them via SSH.

You can enable debugging without the onscreen display.
add <loglevel>1</loglevel> to the <advancedsettings> section of .kodi/userdata/advancedsettings.xml

Life is too short - to keep trying to reproduce this problem.

Ended up making a fresh install - no backup restored.

Has yet to experience it after install.
