After applying the latest update I’m getting a blank screen. TV is an LG 55UF840V. Device hardware is OSMC Vero 4k. SSH still works.

It’s possible an add-on or skin is not compatible with Kodi v18.
Please try running mv /home/osmc/.kodi /home/osmc/.kodi-backup and seeing if this helps
Sam
Hi Sam,
Thanks for quick response. The problem persists after starting up kodi with defaults.
please try echo 422now | sudo tee /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr
That on it’s own didn’t do the trick. When doing also
echo 8bitnow | sudo tee /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr
I got back the display.
(I found that in 4k video playback issue after October update - #42 by obstler42)
at 2160p?
Kodi has some changes to how it picks resolutions now.
We might run in to some corner cases (there’re always some) with some displays.
Does setting the GUI to 1080p negate the need to make changes via the command line (reboot after doing so)?
Sam
Yeah, TV says “16:9 2160p 60hz”.
Setting 1080p in GUI negates the need of doing changes via CLI, eg I have 1080p picture after reboot.
Ok – should be a one off bug then which will be resolved shortly; based on what @grahamh has let me know in comms.
gotcha, I can live with the suggested workarounds. Thanks to both of you for the extremely quick responses.
It should be solved in just over an hour. Thanks for the quick report
