It will work same as LE where we upstreamed our key maps so should be just fine.
I don’t know if LE has blu ray menu support by default (don’t think it does), but we could send them the br keymap.
Perhaps after next remote revision?

We only upstreamed our regular keymap. The BR keymap could also be upstreamed at some point but I haven’t seen enough feedback yet to make me want to recommend doing so. What I was referring to with CE is that AFAIK our keyboard language fix (the hwdb) we only put in OSMC and LE so CE would still be using the native layout of the remote. Either of the special OSMC keymaps should work the same as I’ve tried to cover this eventuality with the maps. Even still, since I’ve never tested it, if there is an issue in CE I’d rather someone let me know rather than assume that it has been tested and the problem is on their end.
I’m away on holiday but will test this on CE and OSMC soon after I’m back.
Back from holiday, partial success with the blu-ray menu navigation. I can load and navigate the root menu of my Spears and Munsil test disc, but once I load a pattern, I can’t figure out how to get the OSMC remote to take me back to the main menu - anything I do just triggers the expected Kodi action as if I were playing an mkv file.
Under peripherals I have two entries for OSMC remote, I guess one for the internal receiver and one for the external dongle. For each entry I have tried changing the keymap from osmc to osmc-br, but the remote behaviour seems unaffected.
Not sure if anything in the log is helpful.
When you pressed the back button it should have brought up the blueray menu but for some reason it doesn’t look like the Java stuff was grabbing the keypresses like it had been when I made that keymap. I tried to do a gutcheck on my V that I had used for this previously but although I could bring up a blueray menu from a playing video, I had other keys that were not working correctly. I’m not sure if this was something to do with an update breaking something or what. I’ll see if I can get some clean install testing done in the next week or so to figure out where to go next. I’d need to figure out if something broke with the Java or if some other change happened.
good of you to consider looking at this, appreciate it may not be a priority.
