BluRay Playback on Raspberry Pi 3

I have several BluRay iso rips that just freeze but the “timeline” (I don‘t know if this is the right word) the line that shows you how far you‘ve watched a movie and how long the movie is) keeps progressing so in the end the movie plays longer than it actually is. Network is good (connected via cable), log says absolutely nothing, no errors whatsoever.

Has anyone any idea what is wrong here? How can I try to fix it if there‘s no error?

Any help is appreciated…

Cheers, Alex

It would be good if we could find out more about the file you are having issues playing. Please see the mediainfo section in How to submit a useful support request - General - OSMC

Also please try playing the file from a local source, either the SD card or a USB stick.

When I open the iso file in MediaInfo all I get is the file size.

ISO is a disk image. You first need to mount/open it and then use mediainfo in one of the media files.

I’ve been in the process of pulling out my BD from the crawl space and changing the container from iso to mkv. No problems on pi playback since.

Did you try playing the file from a local source?
