Boot Loop / Blue Screen & Sad Face after latest upgrade

Hello everybody,

I did an “sudo dist-upgrade” to newest OSMC version, running on Raspy 3.
Now it does not start OSMC. I just get a blue screen with an endless boot loop.

I already tried out a new kodi profile folder (renamed /home/osmc/.kodi and startet over again), but the problem still exists.

These are my logs:

http://paste.osmc.io/udoxobapum → /var/log/apt/term.log
http://paste.osmc.io/uciduhawad → /var/log/apt/history.log
http://paste.osmc.io/abitebuquz → /home/osmc/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
http://paste.osmc.io/zexozuluto → “journalctl”
http://paste.osmc.io/awemivowid → “df -h”

Can you advice please? Thanks a lot!

This indicates that you will probably require a complete re-install.

So the problem was that I did not “dist-upgrade” but just “upgrade” some times in the past? - I didn’t know that would be a problem until now.

I did rename the profile folder again and started over.
Not it seems to work. After copying some of my config files, it’s running again. Thanks so far!

Maybe not this time, since actually renaming the folder resulted in a booting system. But this will be a problem in the future.
