I have idle shutdown disabled, but when I re-boot it is enabled, not a major problem, but is there a way to stop this ?

What do you mean with “idle shutdown”? Can you show a screenshot of the option?
Under power options. At the bottom
Allow idle shutdown or Inhibit
Try changing it and exiting Kodi rather than rebooting

Thanks, think I have tracked it to my HDMI Matrix switch.
As far as the boot issue changing the status of idle shutdown, here is what I did and the log. Its been there as long as I have had the Vero, its just I have been rebooting a lot due to the audio issue.
Enable debugg loging
Reboot x2
I change idel shutdown to diabled
Reboot
Vero has changed it back to allowed.
I change it back to diabled
Exit Kodi
Re-entre Koda
Vero has changed it back to allow.

I’m still not completely clear on what the issue is and how to reproduce it.

I set the status of idle shutdown to disabled as I want it.
If I reboot the Vero or leave Kodi the status then changed back to enabled after the reboot or return to kodi

Are you saying that if you change a setting in Kodi and reboot it doesn’t change properly

@kdp99 We have a problem with the terminology “idle shutdown”. To prevent confusion, please make a picture from this “idle shutdown” menu and place it here.
Please, keep in mind you own an old Vero 4k with a very old sw stand dated in the beginning of 2024 with kodi Nexus and the system has never installed any patch/update since then. Our resources for such old/neglected systems are clearly limited. But now let’s see what you mean with “idle shutdown”.

It looks like, at some point in the past, you set the Shutdown function timer to 5 minutes and the Shutdown function to suspend at GUI -> Settings -> System -> Power saving.
Now, whenever Kodi starts up, the extra menu item Inhibit idle shutdown appears. While you can inhibit the shutdown via the Power menu—causing the entry to switch to Allow idle shutdown—the setting resets every time Kodi is restarted. This behavior is working as expected even in your old kodi version.
If you want to disable this feature entirely, you need to set the Shutdown function timer to off at GUI -> Settings -> System -> Power saving … or better use the Reset above settings to default in the Power saving menu.

That sorted it. I must have made the setting in error when I first got the Vero as its been like that as long as I can remember.
