its neccesary to have this card to play 1080 resolution movies? because i dont have the Broadcom CrystalHD BCM70015 Card, and the 1080 movies play fine. whats exactly this card purpose? if the movies works very good and smooth. no issues by the moment.

I’ve not been able to play 1080p content without the card.
The card serves as a video accelerator. You DMA h264 in and you get decoded frames out. This reduces load on the (old) Pentium M CPU which can’t really do this on its own.
