Can I Manually Update a PVR Addon?

I know all the binary addons (including the PVR addons) are only updated when OSMC is updated (so basically during the monthly updates), but the PVR addon I use has an update that will finally make LiveTV with timeshifting work right, and I’d like to install it now instead of waiting for the next OSMC update. I found a thread that pointed to an FTP server that has the OSMC addons, and the addon I need to update (to 3.3.18) is there at:

https://ftp.fau.de/osmc/osmc/download/kodi/addons/leia/pvr.nextpvr+android-aarch64/

Can I download that zip to my Vero 4K+ and install it, or do I just have to have patience and wait for the next OSMC monthly update?

You would need to compile these from source.
