Can i watch twitch.tv and youtube using vero 2

Hi

I plan to buy a vero 2 as a media center/seedbox/ twitch.tv watching device for my kids and i would like to know if any of you has any experience with vero 2 for the tasks i mentioned.

Twitch is a huge thing for my kids and i wanted to ask and check first if it can really hande source quality streams.

I understand that you can download a torrent client from the app store ?
Is there such an app for twitch and youtube as well ? Can i just hook up a external hdd or a usb hub in wich i plug multiple external HDDS ?

Sorry for the noob questions but im not the most tech savy, I get along with windows but thats that.

Transmission client is available in App Store and there is a web interface for it.

Yes – but you may need to power these drives if you are attaching multiple (i.e. you cannot power them off the USB alone) or use a beefier power supply. If you install the Samba server from the App Store, then any connected drives will be accessible from your Windows PC and any other machines on the network.

For TwitchTV: see http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:TwitchTV
For YouTube: see http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:YouTube

Looks like the device meets your requirements.

Thanks for the super fast reply Sam !

One thing i forgot to mention is that i will use the vero 2 in a weekend home where i dont have any other stationary pc. Only a modem and a video projector. Up untill now we only had chromecast that i controlled with my phone or tablet but it would be nice if we could download a movie and watch it directly on location without me bringing it from home on a usb stick or my phone.

Can i control the torrent client’s web ui on my ipad to add new torrents as said i usually wont have a laptop on location.

Dont worry about the external HDDs sam all have a seperate power supply… I have the old esternal WDs in mind.

Yes – you can go to http//IP:9091 on the iPad after you install Transmission. The IP of the Vero 2 will be visible under System → Information.

Let me know if you have any further questions
