Can OSMC be upgraded without reinstall for Rpi2?

Can you do an in-place upgrade on a OSMC install on a RPi B+ so that it can just be placed into a Rpi2?

Any how-to written to do this? Only reason I want to do this is a Custom built compiled software that I did on my Rpi B+

Rpi b+ and Rpi2 are very different.
