Needed to reinstall from scratch. Got to the pairing screen, it says to hold home (top left) and OK to pair, but it doesn’t pair. On the off chance the battery died exactly at the time I wanted to reinstall, got new battery, tested with multimeter, and still won’t pair.
I have no USB devices attached to the Vero V. I can put the remote right over it and hold home and ok, doesn’t pair.
How can I get it paired? Remote was working before reinstall.

You should not have needed to re-pair at all for a reinstall; that instruction is more for the first boot.
Is it possible that it is already paired, which is why you cannot pair it?

Remote is not working so thus I was trying to re-pair. I’ll keep trying.
What voltage are you getting on the multimeter?
You could use TV remote via CEC to upload a log so we can check the receiver is being detected

It appears the battery is finicky as far as the fit. Tried 3-4 times and finally it works again. Don’t recall the voltage, was new from pack, was like .2 over spec.

The remote will start to become unresponsive once it hits 2.7V.
