Cannot access default OSMC shares from Windows 10 / 2016

So i’ve read the other articles about this but it doesn’t seem to be working for me…

SMB1 is enabled on all 3 of my Windows 10 LTSC and 2016 machines, but trying to browse

\\192.168.2.27\osmc\.kodi

Just tells me

“Windows cannot find ‘\\192.168.2.27’. Check the spelling and try again”

I’m at a loss… before updating to the latest Windows 10, everything was fine…

Edit : Found the problem. Apparently Windows 10 / 2017 1709 disables access to non password protected SMB2 shares.

Hi,

I think you will have more success if you used a double forward back slash:

\\192.168.2.27\osmc.kodi

Thanks Tom.

Thanks for the hint, but that’s just the forum that has stripped my extra \ out of what ive written…

corrected that now.

Found my solution :
