Cannot See 5ghz WiFi Network

OSMC running on RP 4 cannot see my 5ghz WiFi network, 2.4ghz only. 2.4 and 5 have different names, and OSMC is set up for US. I cannot use sudo commands to check config (e.g., sudo raspi-config) either by hitting escape at the splash screen or using putty for remote access.

I am trying to fix slow connection issue with server for full-bitrate blu-ray rips.

Any help is appreciated.

Which Channel is your 5Ghz configured on?

Router is set to auto - no specific channel assigned.

Did you set the correct country code?

Can you confirm the currently active channel width?

Does changing the channel width help?

Sam

Hi Sam - Yes, OSMC / Kodi is configured for US and I played with different channels and signal widths. The 5ghz never appeared as an option via My OSMC > Settings > Network. The laptop I’m typing on is on the 5ghz, so I’m at a loss.

A log may advise. Can you upload one via SD card or Ethernet cable, or even a 2.4Ghz network?

Would be good to see how WiFi CRDA is configured.

Sam

Sorry, I’ve been away. I’ll upload a fresh log here shortly.

Not a problem.
