This post concerns the Vero 1 (2014), not the Vero 2.
HDMI audio should work out of the box by default. Have you tried it? On a Vero 2, you should just select ‘SPDIF’ rather than Analog (which is the 3.5mm port).
If you are having problems with Vero 2 then you need to start a forum post, if this concerns a Vero 1 then let me know.
