Just got Transmission installed. However I can’t get it to Launch.
I used to have the command-line version installed, but I uninstalled it with sudo apt-get purge transmission
Is there a trick to get it to run?

sudo systemctl start transmission ?
oh and settings, json is located here: /home/osmc/.config/transmission-daemon
please run
sudo systemctl status transmission
sudo systemctl status transmission
Gives me:
* transmission.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: No such file or directory)
Active: inactive (dead)
This is weird. It seemed to have installed ok from the frontend programs list (downloaded, then installed). I can see the Transmission UI on OSMC for a split second before it errors.
Transmission is not installed if this file is missing.
Try “uninstalling” it from the app store and reinstalling. If that fails, please provide a full debug log after the installation.
Tried uninstalling/reinstalling. No dice.
Here’s the log. I uninstall, reinstall, then try to launch.
Just wanted to bump this, was going to give the non-App style Transmission a go again. Haven’t had much luck since.
What you have provided is a Kodi debug log, which has no real bearing on a 3rd party app such as Transmission.
We would need to see full debug logs for that, especially the APT logs and system journal.
