@popcornmix, I think it is only the peripherals.xml file outdated in the osmc build. could you please confirm and correct this?
Is it possible to replace the xml file ourselves, or does it have to be a part of the compile for OSMC?
Yes, but it will be overwritten by the next OSMC update. Maybe @sam_nazarko is able to assist in this matter.
I try to solve the same issue, but editing peripherals.xml was not successful on my osmc install.
Anybody having success and can share a copy of the modified peripherals.xml ?
Proper location of peripherals.xml is /usr/share/kodi/system.
Now its working on my system.
That file will be overwritten during the next update so keep a record of your changes
