It was written with a Samsung TV in mind and so far has worked on two completely different models of Samsung. Among other things it does:
Map back function to the return button instead of the exit button, and map exit to the Exit button.
Outside video playback map Red to jump to home screen, Yellow to context menu and Blue to Info.
During video playback map Red to Codec Info, Green to Video settings, Yellow to Audio settings, Blue to Info, and return to 7 second backwards step.
It also tweaks some mappings in music visualisations and on screen keyboard. I find it works very well but havenāt tried it with anything other than Samsung - but it may be useful as a starting point to create your own configuration.
CEC just stopped working again after two days. Here are my log files. I didnāt know which one you need, so I uploaded everything. http://paste.osmc.io/ifimobuqob
Iām using the same HDMI cable that worked flawlessly on my Pi since Raspbmc, so I donāt think itās the culprit here.
Iām pretty sure after rebooting itāll be fine again, but something still seems to be broken.
Can confirm supplied cable also does not work on my BluRay player (as well as Pi and vero).
Is it possible for you add a menu option in OSMC settings that allows user to change CEC name from default of āKodiā?
I would like to use a Pi and Vero on same AV amp but at the moment this is not possible because they are both called the same name (Kodi).
I tried to search how to do change name from e.g a .xml file but no luck.
Hah! I posted about my CEC problems while drinking my morning tea. By the time I went to check on Vero, it had installed some updates, one of which fixed my problem!
