Hi there,
At the moment, I’m using OSMC installed on a PI3, my Music Library is set as a NFS Share, but my Video Library is still set as an SMB share as I took a lot of time to get all the right Metadata.
I’m now waiting for the Vero 4K + and when I get it, I’d like to change the SMB share to NFS. I wanted to export the Library from the Pi and import it to the Vero 4K+
Is there a way to keep all the metadata, watch status and the rest while switching to NFS ?
Thanks for the help !
It may be a better idea to use Path Substitution. See https://kodi.wiki/view/Path_substitution.

Thanks Sam, I’ll have a look at this and come back here if there are any issues when I proceed to the Library import.
If I can’t manage, I’ll just re-create a new Library and take some time to set everything back (which should be faster with the Vero than the Pi )
No Library import. Just use MyOSMC Backup to transfer the Library between the two devices and when you have changed from SMB to NFS just add the path substitution
You should be able to use the trakt add-on with a free account to scrape and maintain your watched status.
Thanks for all the replies.
I’ll have a look at this when I get the 4K+, but I might just start with a blank Library
If you start with a clean sheet you should consider using an fstab-based mount, since that should do away with the need for path substitution if you move to another network-based filesystem. It’s also a bit faster and generally more robust.
