Change SSH port number

Greetings all! Will be recieving a Pi 2 in the next few days and looking forward to trying out OSMC. Would like to know if changing the SSH port can be achieved by editing /etc/ssh/sshd_config?

Also for future reference as OSMC is based on Debian Jessie can other system trouble shooting be achieved by looking up Debian documentation or are there some fundamental differences in OSMC?

OSMC runs systemd. That might be helpful for you moving forward.
