Connecting vero to Screen + Soundbar without ARC

Hi all,

I have a relatively simple setup, and as I use a 42" computer screen (42.5" Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB - Specifications) which has no ARC hdmi port, i currently use a 3.5mm audio plug to forward sound to the soundbar (CINEBAR 11 "2.1-Set" | Teufel)

What’s the best way to actually setup this environment? I used a HDMI switch to connect the game-devices of the kids to the screen + soundbar. Anything that exists that I have missed?

Any hint welcome

Ideal would be devices>HDMI switch>soundbar>display I think for this particular hardware. I’d think this would be better than routing the audio from the display and should allow for CEC volume control of the soundbar. There is a pretty good guide found here…

Thanks for the Article. I’ll check it out.
Issue is, the soundbar won’t let the HDMI signal out because the screen has no ARC connector.
I’ll see what I can do to optimize it

Did you actually try this to confirm it won’t forward the video unless ARC is present? The manual (the english one at least) was worded in a way that might give this impression but it seems to me unlikely as ARC would only be needed if you were sending audio from the display to the soundbar via HDMI, not from the soundbar to the TV.

I actually did. The FAQ (German one) also says that in case the screen has no ARC, to connect through fiber connection. The Screen having none, I connected through 3.5mm jack so far.

Maybe, when I find time (which is rare), I’ll retry all possible scenarios :} Alternative is to find a HDMI 5 port switch with an ARC port I can use instead.
Any of that type you guys can recommend?
