Well this is just another lowmark for Kodi sadly
for us that like too use Kodi normally and not for sketchy addons this is really worrisome
That is why they want to push DRM. The only way one can opt out of DRM and total corporate control (as done by Apple, Amazon and Google) is to use something like Kodi.
However, to even go against that, they try everything they can to broaden their control of the media, and how/when these are watched.
