Crash on launching MP3+CDG karaoke files

It shouldn’t matter that I’m using a karaoke addon because it only downloads and automatically launches the MP3+CDG files.
Tested on stock Kodi with iPad, Windows PC with exact same configuration and it works.

Reproducible steps:

  1. Start OSMC
  2. Go to video addons
  3. Launch “XBMC Karaoke addon”
  4. Select song
  5. Song is downloading and unzipping
  6. Trying to play and it crashes.

Debug log: [LOG] OSMC 0.9.9 RC3 Karaoke Bug - Pastebin.com
Skin: Eminence

Does disabling omxplayer in video/acceleration settings help?
Could you provide a sample file?

Unfortunately disabling omxplayer does not work.

Sure there you go MEGA, but I’d rather prefer to pm it to you.

Plays okay for me (this is with Isengard debug build).
I notice your log says:

11:56:14 T:3024212528 ERROR: unable to load:/home/osmc/.kodi/addons/skin.eminence/1080i/MusicKaraokeLyrics.xml, Line 0

Can you try switching to confluence and playing it?

Okay this is weird. Switching alone didn’t do it, I had to reboot. But after that it worked fine.
I’m also using this same skin on my PC and karaoke works fine there, so I don’t know where to problem really lies but this is an adequate workaround

It looks like karaoke is not supported with eminence:
