Do you mean the RPi3 or the Vero?

I think he means the Pi from his post history. The Vero 4K already has a heatsink, and the thought of drilling in to the case makes me wince.

Sam

@grahamh Yep, it was the Pi.

Sorry for the late reply. I have found some possible issues with the library. Some folders have empty subfolders 370+ subfolders deep. Must have occured when I was doing some automatic ftp syncronization years ago. The Pi didnā€™t mind though. Cleaning them up and trying again. Donā€™t hold your breath, Iā€™m busy the next couple of days, as are you all Iā€™m sure.
@fzinken this worked: tail -400 .kodi/temp/kodi.old.log | paste-log
I will wait to post more once I have done the above and more testing and/or log.
Thanks all for you help so far.

Solved: The long empty subfolders have been cleaned out and now an incremental update of the library takes less than 30 seconds instead of 2-3hours! Strange that the Rpi3 did not mind thisā€¦ it also took hours. Anyway, now all seems good and I have been up and running for 48 hours with Library auto updater reinstalled and initiating scanning every 4 hours with no problem so far.
Thanks all for your great support and a wonderful product!
