On one Pi2 and one PI3 I’m using the HP MCE remote with its USB IR receiver, it works as expected for a few seconds then it gets crazy: the remote events (visible with irw) are duplicated infinitely. Eventually it can stop by itself…
Only workaround is to use a keyboard.
It was not doing that at first, I believe it started 2 releases ago.
Any idea?
You probably need to disable the RC6 decoder in the kernel. Search for ‘RC6 MCE’ and you will find the solution.
Thanks, I tried that (using[HowTo] Utilize RC6 and RC6-Clone remotes with OSMC but the ir_rc6_decoder module was not loaded and anyway my problem is not double-press, but rather infinite-press.
