Hi. Would it be possible to implement a custom item limit for widgets on osmc skin?
When using ‘last played tv channels’ for example (sort by last played, sort direction descending), there comes a point where the most recently played channel is hidden and I need to scroll left to have it show on screen.
If I could set the item limit to 4 (using square icons) I would always be able to see the last played channel.
This should be possible to do via the widget customization options: There’s an option called ‘Item limit’ just below the dort direction which should do exactly what you’re trying to achieve.
Yes, this is the option I’m referring to. I only see options for ‘none’ and then from 10 and up.
Could we have a ‘fit to width’ option for example, so using square icons would limit items to 4, or to 5 using small square icons?
I see. I’ll have a look. Did never think an option with less than 10 would ever be of interest…
Yeah I imagine it’s quite a specific use case just for tv/radio channels. If the most recently played channel icon didn’t end up being hidden from view, as described in my first post, I wouldn’t have a need for this option. Appreciate you taking a look. Thanks.
I’ve now had a look at this. It’s a fairly simple addition and it won’t harm other users who might not need this… It’ll be available with our next OSMC update or very soon, if you’re willing to update via our staging repo.
