D-Link DWA-131 USB WiFi Support

I purchased a brand new D-Link DWA-131 USB dongle only yesterday, as it’s listed under the hardware compatibility for the Pi.

However, the latest DWA-131 dongle is hardware revision E1, consisting of the RTL8192EU chipset.

My OSMC version 3.18.13-1-osmc lists only 8192cu.ko & 8812au.ko under /lib/modules/3.18.13-1-osmc/kernel/drivers/net/wireless

D-Link has the Linux driver source code @ support.dlink.com.au/Download/download.aspx?product=DWA-131&revision=REV_E&filetype=Drivers

However, I’m currently stumped at doing a driver build for the Pi. Could anyone advise me in the right direction ?

Will this work with your last version of OSMC from November?
Any help will be very much appreciated

If you already have the adaptor, try it and let us know if it works.

We are not able to keep track of all the adaptors that are supported by OSMC as there are lots of different adaptors that use the same driver.

Yes it is working like a charm
