Since the May 26 update the option to ask to resume playback from the last position or beginning seems to have changed default. It used to default to last position, but now seems to default to “from beginning”. Is this just my Vero? I certainly find it quite inconvnient. I’ve accidentally restarted movies twice already.
I don’t know if there was a change to default behavior or not but you can choose the behavior of the select and play buttons at settings>media>videos>
Hmmm. I just checked mine (did the update yesterday). It’s still defaulting to play from the resume position for both TV episodes and movies. I’m using the Kodi default Estuary skin, and I don’t know if that default is tied to the skin or Kodi core.
Hmm… I’ve done two systems, both which use the OSMC Skin. The first one now defaults to beginning and the second defaults to restart as it always did.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

reproduce the issue

upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the
Log Uploadermethod within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or thesshmethod invoking commandgrab-logs -A -

For now I’ve switched to Estuary which seems to work fine.
Are we talking about the general setting for all video files or the skin specific setting for main menu widgets of the OSMC Skin?
