Delay after change of refresh rate info

Hello all,

Could anyone confirm how the “Delay after change of refresh rate” setting is meant to work please?

It was my understanding that it would blank the signal for the specified time so that any garbled image is hidden on the connected display while it switches resolution.

I have a Pioneer plasma connected to a Vero 4K+ via HDMI, it’s set to adjust display refresh rate on start/stop and let’s just say it’s not pretty to watch it changing modes.

I’ve tried the delay option on various timings but none seem to work as expected. Have I got it wrong?

It delays playback. It can’t delay or blank the signal because we have to change the signal (and refresh rate) for your TV to adjust.

To reduce the likelihood of this happening you could change your UI refresh rate to match the content you play the most.
